One St. Paul’s
A Strategic Plan for The St. Paul’s Schools
Who are we and where are we headed? It’s a question every organization should ask itself. For The St. Paul’s Schools, which was formed from the union of multiple schools, each with its own traditions and culture, these questions of identity take on extra importance. |
Our Model
St. Paul’s is a family of schools serving students from infancy through grade 12 on one campus. With our unique model, children learn separately and together at just the right times in their development. In preschool and lower school, our boys and girls naturally thrive in a coeducational setting. For middle school, they branch into small, single-gender divisions which offer a space for each student to find their voice and gain confidence in their abilities. Over four years of upper school, students gradually come back together into a coeducational classroom setting that models the world they are about to enter. Although coed coursework increases over four years of upper school, community time and school traditions largely remain separate to reinforce the bonds of sisterhood and brotherhood that connect our students for life.
Our Episcopal Values
At St. Paul’s, we believe learning should be joyful. We celebrate community life, including times for collective worship and occasions to simply gather. We serve others, value all voices, and use our moral courage to pursue justice and equality. Above all, we find strength in God’s love and in knowing we are part of something bigger than ourselves.
Our Mission
Guided by Episcopal values and a commitment to each student’s full journey, a St. Paul’s education inspires us to lead with love, discover and pursue our unique gifts, and act with courage in all we do.
Our Vision
St. Paul’s students thrive and serve in a global community. We create transformational experiences through innovative and responsive teaching in a diverse community of authentic belonging.
Thank You“One St. Paul’s” is a clear statement of who we are and what we are becoming, and the five priorities—Transformative Education, Balance & Well-Being, Professional Excellence, Vibrant Community, and Financial Strength—will propel us even further toward excellence. We are grateful for the outpouring of ideas and input from our community, the work of the design team to coalesce those inputs into an actionable plan, and the guidance provided throughout the process by our partners at Leadership+Design. Your participation strengthened this plan in countless ways. We hope you are proud of what we have created together. Executing the strategic initiatives will be a collective effort involving individuals across the schools. Accountability is key, and the board, president, heads of school, leadership team, faculty, staff, and our entire community will work diligently in the coming months and years to achieve the transformative vision outlined in this document. |
