SPSG Kicks Off the 2023-2024 Academic Year

Faculty, staff, and students at St. Paul’s School for Girls ushered in the 2023-2024 school year with smiles, school spirit, and enthusiasm. The first day of day of the year began with a bustling carpool featuring plenty of Green and White spirit, excitement for the year ahead, and the sound of bagpipes, an SPSG tradition which spans decades.

Head of School Ereni Gleason Malfa '89 kicked off the start of the school year by welcoming students to campus and addressing the SPSG community during morning Prayers. During her opening address, Mrs. Malfa discussed The St. Paul's Schools new mission statement and what it means to be fearless. "Being fearless doesn't mean ignoring challenges. Rather, it means approaching them with courage and determination even if the outcome is uncertain," said Malfa.

She also provided an overview of the imminent building project which will transform the physical SPSG building and, by extension, the types of learning adventures students will undertake. Malfa explained, "We are making this investment in our students, faculty, and our school because the future of education requires dynamic spaces that integrate technology, invite collaboration, and activate hands-on learning."
