Endowment Impact
Building A Lasting Legacy
Creating a new endowment fund is an inspiring way to build a lasting legacy at St. Paul’s. Generous alumni, parents, trustees, and friends have established 176 endowed funds that provide recurring revenue for specific priorities that benefit our students, faculty, and programs. We are grateful to the donors who have established these new endowed funds over the last year:
Cameron D. Baird Endowment
Established by the Baird Family to celebrate the legacy of beloved St. Paul’s teacher-coach Cam Baird and provide annual support for the St. Paul’s School for Boys’ Junior Retreat, King’s Vision Day programming, and innovative faculty development grants.
Darius Barnes Artist in Residence Endowed Fund for Dance
Established in memory of dancer, choreographer, and director Darius Barnes to support an artist-in-residence to inspire dancers at The St. Paul’s Schools.
The Anne & Bedford Chapin ’42 Faculty Professional Development Endowment
Established by the estate of Anne and Bedford Chapin ’42 to support the advancement of faculty through professional development opportunities.
Warren Liddell ’67 Endowed Scholarship
Established by alumnus Warren Liddell ’67 to provide need-based tuition assistance for a deserving student(s) in the Pre and Lower Schools.
Courtney E. Shackelford ’99 Endowment for Musical and Visual Arts Fund
Established by her parents, Marcy and William Shackelford, to celebrate the legacy of their beloved daughter, Courtney. The Fund provides support to The St. Paul’s Schools Arts Department so that students have access to the equipment, materials, and resources they need to explore and develop artistic pursuits.

Courageous Crusaders Counseling Fund Supports New
Wellness Program
“St. Paul's is so much more than a topflight place of learning. It's a community, a family, and home. Teaming up with St. Paul's in developing the resources needed to support and strengthen our students' emotional wellbeing is a privilege.”
–Jodi & Clark Lare

The Courageous Crusaders Counseling Fund was established in 2022 to recruit, reward, and retain exceptional counseling staff while providing growing resources for the counseling program at St. Paul’s School for Boys. The endowment fund was made possible through the generosity of SP parents Jodi and Clark Lare.
The St. Paul’s Awareness, Resources, and Care (SPARC) program officially launched last fall to enhance the overall well-being of our students by providing proactive and responsive mental health support. Throughout our middle and upper schools, a range of activities were implemented to enhance the social-emotional health of the school community, including students, faculty, and families. Students have access to a range of resources, including counseling services, workshops on stress management, and clubs focused on mental health. Additionally, the SPARC program created a new referral process in which a student who has concerns about a fellow student’s mental health, substance use, or unhealthy relationship can notify a trusted (and properly trained) adult without fear of disciplinary action. This process is designed to foster a community of students who look out for each other and alert the school to issues that may not have been apparent otherwise.
As of June 30, 2024, the Courageous Crusaders Counseling Fund’s value stood at $53,328.97. Given the growing importance of mental health services for our students, this fund will continue to increase in size and impact thanks to the generosity of the Lare Family and other donors who have been inspired to support such a meaningful purpose.
