Application Process
Thank you for your interest in The St. Paul’s Schools! Your child’s time at St. Paul’s will be one of the most meaningful experiences of their life, and this journey begins with the admissions process. We invite you to review the steps below if you are interested in applying for Pre-K through Grade 4.
If you are interested in submitting a late application for the 2026–27 academic year, please contact the admissions office at SPPLadmissions@stpaulsmd.org or 410-821-3060 before applying, as many grades are now at capacity for the coming year.

*These items on the checklist (with asterisk) are required steps in the admissions process. Only completed admission applications will receive an admissions decision.

Ready to apply? Create a parent portal and complete online application. Applications for the 2027–28 school year will be available by mid-August. Application is due prior to scheduling a visit day. $50 application fee is due by Dec. 15. The application fee is waived for all siblings at The St. Paul's Schools and alumni.

- Pre-K & Kindergarten: Submit Referral Form to your current teacher
- Grade 1: Submit Referral Form to your current teacher, and your 2025–2026 teacher.
- Grades 2–4: Submit Referral Form to your current teacher, and your 2025–2025 teacher.

schedule APPLICANT assessment*
- Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade Applicants: Assessments will be scheduled beginning in mid-October.
- Grades 2–4 Applicants: Applicants are invited to test at St. Paul’s on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2027. If you are unable to attend, you may sign up for an assessment date at another school. Please be sure to ask the school to share the assessment scores with St. Paul’s. We will also be happy to share the assessment results with other schools.

Grades 2–4
Please call or email the admissions office to schedule a date for the the applicant to visit. Visit days are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on regular school days, between October and December.
Schedule parent Interview*
- Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade Applicants: Please schedule the parent conversation after the applicant’s assessment.
- Grades 2–4 Applicants: Please schedule the parent conversation after the applicant’s visit or assessment.

Tuition Assistance
Application due by Dec. 15
Grades k–4
Applications for tuition assistance for the 2027–28 school year will be accepted beginning in October and are due by December 15, 2026. Applications should be completed online here.
