Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

At St. Paul’s, our core values and our inclusive, global worldview guide us in everything we do. Our students learn to appreciate a variety of backgrounds and beliefs. Our global perspective and founding principles steer how we teach, resulting in lasting lessons on humanity and good citizenship.

We believe in inclusiveness. We support diversity as an integral aspect of educational excellence that enriches the experiences of all. We respect and celebrate diversity in race, religion, ethnicity, socio-economic circumstances, sexual orientation, gender, and ability.

Our Inclusive Community Faculty Committee meets throughout the year to focus on our cultural competency framework, community events, professional development opportunities, and more.

“Our community is guided by our Episcopal roots, core to which is the belief that every child is a child of God and that trust, understanding, and mutual respect lie at the heart of all that we do. St. Paul’s is committed to creating a supportive learning environment where all individuals are valued for their unique contributions. We strongly believe that a diverse and inclusive environment is the best learning environment for our students and prepares them to live, work, and thrive in an increasingly global and multicultural community.”

The Reverend Daniel Meck, Head Chaplain & Director of Spiritual Life

Board of Trustees Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Statement

To uphold the mission and vision of The St. Paul’s Schools, we, the Board of Trustees,

  • embrace the diversity of backgrounds, perspectives, cultures, and experiences in our community;
  • believe that each member of our community brings life experiences and a unique perspective to help develop the intellect and character of our students;
  • seek to hear each voice as a vital contributor to our diverse community and create a culture of authentic belonging.

DEI Initiatives

St. Paul's focus of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) work aims to strengthen the community by offering programs, affinity groups, and professional development opportunities that help students, faculty, and families build relationships, develop skills, and create a space where everyone feels valued and respected. Through our DEI initiatives, we strive to promote understanding, empathy, and collaboration among individuals of diverse backgrounds, ultimately enriching the overall educational experience for all members of our community.
